Join us on Wednesday, July 22nd at 8:00 PM for an intimate evening of extraordinary acoustic guitar featuring two remarkable solo performers, Mark Abdilla and Lucas Gunn.
Mark Abdilla opens the evening with warm, expressive, and richly melodic guitar work. Blending flamenco, Brazilian, classical, original compositions, and beloved pop instrumentals, his music is vibrant, heartfelt, and full of movement.
The evening continues with Lucas Gunn, a Portland-based 12-string guitarist currently on tour in support of his debut album, You Shouldn't Try to Borrow Other People's Skin. Gunn’s music is spacious, mesmerizing, and deeply evocative. He unfolds a musical landscape through intricate fingerstyle playing, unconventional tunings, and influences from American Primitive guitar, avant-garde, classical, and blues traditions.
Together, these two artists offer a night of contrast and connection: passionate, melodic guitar alongside adventurous acoustic exploration.
This is a donation-based event, with all donations going directly to the performers. Bring a friend, enjoy a cup of tea, and settle in for a night of beautiful musicianship in the intimate setting of Wu Wei.
